The Palace was named after Andrea Odoni, a famous 16th century art and antiques collector, who was the first owner and resident of the palace.
Andrea Odoni is registered in the historical town archives and known for establishing close friendship and offering great hospitality to painters and artists like Girolamo da Treviso, Vasari (who called his palace "The Home of Virtuous" ) and Lorenzo Lotto da Treviso who dedicated to him a portrait (oil on canvas, 1527) which is permanent on display in London, at the Royal Collection, Hampton Court.
Over the centuries wealthy and noble families have succeded each other at Palazzo Odoni, until it has become our family's property for over 5 generations. |
